"For The First Time In Forty Years I Can See Without My Glasses."
"I thought about laser surgery when it first came out about ten years ago. But my friends advised me to let other people try it first, so I decided to wait. But recently, I thought the time was right with the new LASIK procedure. Plus I was happy to be able to have it done locally. I knew Dr. Post's reputation was excellent. And it's nice when you know who you're dealing with, instead of going out of town to some clinic.
I was very nearsighted. In fact, I'd been wearing eyeglasses since I was twelve years old.
The procedure was easier than I'd expected. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to focus on one object for a long enough time, like they asked me to do. But it wasn't hard at all. It was all very simple.
Everybody at Post, O'Connor & Kadrmas Eye Centers treated me so well. They are all very nice. And I mean everybody! When I went in for my surgery, everybody was genuinely excited - patients, doctors and nurses.
The results have been just fantastic. Really great. My vision is 20/20, and you just can't ask for better than that. For the first time in forty years I can see without my glasses."

“Now I will have new vision that will carry me through the jobs that I have to do for a long period of time.”
“I really appreciate the caring nature of your staff and your own personal skill during the two cataract operations that I recently had at your eye center. You were referred to me by Dr. G. Logan Eaton of Norwell who said in sending me to your clinic I would be in good hands. This certainly proved to be true.
The morning before the (1st) operation I went to the 9:00 Mass at my church in Marshfield and I asked for a special blessing from the priest. He said, “Jack, are you nervous?” I answered, “Yes, I am nervous, but I also want some prayers for Dr. O’Connor because I hope he is at the top of his game.” The actual procedure…was particularly well done.
This letter is being dictated the day after operation #2. I have just come in from a visit with Dr. Eaton and he said you did a fine piece of work and everything is going to work out fine. Now I have new vision that will carry me through the jobs I have to do for a long period of time.
Many thanks to you and to your exceptionally caring staff, right from the greeters at the desk to the nurses in the procedure room, to yourself.”

“His quiet ways are very calming in a frightening situation.”
“Dr. Kadrmas is my hero. After 3 macular holes, I have gotten to know him very well. His quiet ways are very calming in a frightening situation. He always answered all my questions and was very careful to explain just what I could expect. The Monday Mashpee crew is the best! Friendly, helpful and extremely professional. After more than 5 years, we are finally on a first name basis!
I’m about to make my 5th trip to the OR and actually look forward to it. The nurses are gems and I love the idea of a designated “hand holder”. Each of them went out of their way to lessen my anxiety and create a comfortable atmosphere.
I could wax eloquent about these folks, the Plymouth, Mashpee, and Wareham facilities ad nauseam…”

"I decided to take my own advice and have my vision corrected."
"I am an optometrist with a practice in Kingston. I had referred several patients to Post & O'Connor Eye Centers for the LASIK procedure and had seen the excellent results they experienced. Being quite myopic, I decided to take my own advice and have my own vision corrected through LASIK about a year ago.
As an optometrist, I knew a great deal about the procedure going in. But the people at Post & O'Connor really enhanced my knowledge. I wasn't nervous at all. Today my vision is great. I am very pleased with the results, and have continued to refer patients to Post & O'Connor for the LASIK procedure. One small problem - my wife - who has perfect vision - now feels she must get up earlier every day to put on her make-up because now I can see her clearly first thing in the morning!"

“After my retina surgery, I went from having no vision in my eye to 20/25!”
“I had been referred to Dr. Post for cataract surgery by my optometrist, Dr. Snyder. When the surgery was over, he told me that by the next morning my vision would be normal.
So, the next morning, when I went in to see Dr. Post for a follow up visit, I told him that what he had said was not true. He was very concerned and I didn’t want to prolong his anxiety. Laughing, I said, “Within an hour of the surgery, I was eating a sandwich on the deck of a restaurant in Falmouth and watching a seagull across the water. It took me a minute to realize that I could see the bird as if it was right in front of me!” So, instead of taking a day for my vision to return to normal, I could see clearly within an hour!
When I suddenly lost my vision in one eye, I immediately called Post, O’Connor & Kadrmas Eye Centers. The same day, I saw Dr. Kadrmas who told me that I had a detached retina. He performed surgery the next morning to re-attach the retina. I can’t say enough good things about him. He is a skilled eye surgeon and a very nice person.
It was a very frightening experience and I was worried about permanently losing my vision. But, he explained everything to me so that I knew what to expect. I can’t tell you what a relief it was when the operation was over. All’s well that ends well. After my retina surgery, I went from having no vision in my eye to 20/25!”

"This surgery changed my life."
"I attended a seminar on LASIK with an open mind. I needed glasses for everything. Even getting up in the middle of the night. I found Dr. O'Connor to be very open and honest. He didn't downplay the risks, or exaggerate the benefits. I liked that. The surgery itself? It was a piece of cake! They prepared me extremely well, answered all of my questions without rushing me.
Now I have totally normal vision. I don't need glasses at all. The benefits of this procedure are that it has changed my life. It is just the most amazing thing I've ever done!"
