Eddie F. Kadrmas, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Eddie F. Kadrmas is a board certified ophthalmologist with over 12 years experience as a retinal specialist.  He received his medical degree from University of North Dakota School of Medicine, and simultaneously earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the UND Graduate School.  Dr. Kadrmas completed his internship and residency in Ophthalmology at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, MN.

After his residency, Dr. Kadrmas completed a Vitreoretinal Fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Harvard Medical School.  He also completed a Post-doctoral Research Fellowship at the Schepens Eye Research Institute and Harvard Medical School.

For the past 10 years, Dr. Kadrmas has been serving patients in Plymouth, Southeastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod.  During this time, he has helped to develop innovations in surgical techniques and instrumentation, including 25-gauge vitrectomy.  He has also published extensively in numerous journals and publications, and has lectured extensively.  In addition, he continues to serve as a Clinical Instructor in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Kadrmas serves as an Editorial Board Member of “Ophthalmology Management” and “Retinal Physician”, and as an Editorial Reviewer for the journals “Ophthalmology”, “Retina”, and “Ophthalmic Surgery and Lasers”.

Dr. Kadrmas currently serves on the staff of Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and the Plymouth Laser & Surgery Center.
