Richard P. Floyd, M.D.

Dr. Richard P. Floyd is a board certified ophthalmologist.  He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency training in Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.  He maintains a clinical teaching position at Harvard Medical School and is active in training residents at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Floyd has a hospital appointment at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital.  He also serves on the Infection Control Committee at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. 

Dr. Floyd has lectured on various ophthalmologic topics and contributed to ophthalmology medical journals. He also served on the Editorial Review Board for the Principles and Practice of Ophthalmology, a primary reference text for ophthalmologists.

Dr. Floyd performs general ophthalmology including cataract surgery, glaucoma and laser treatments.
