David Chen, M.D.

Dr. David Chen is a board certified ophthalmologist who earned his undergraduate degree at John Hopkins University and medical degree from Harvard Medical School.  He completed his fellowship program in Oculoplastics and Neuro-Ophthalmolgy at the Tufts/New England Eye Center in Boston.

Dr. Chen has been awarded many honors and has written articles for numerous ophthalmic journals. He has participated in many research programs at various institutions some of which include John Hopkins University, Harvard Medical School, Dana Farber Cancer Institute Massachusetts General Hospital and New England Eye Center.

Dr. Chen acted as premedical tutor at the Winthrop House-Harvard University and participated in the Asian Health Association at Harvard Medical School, 1994-1998.  In 2002 he was named Resident of the Year and Co-Chief Resident at the New England Eye Center.  In 2005, he was awarded Teacher of the Year at Tufts/New England Eye Center.

Dr. Chen performs oculoplastic surgery at our Plymouth Laser & Surgical Center, P.C. His expertise in his chosen fields has brought our practice to an even higher level in service and care for our patients.
